These are ballpark figures. We quote properly after a quick video survey or phone call. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes and it is free. Storage is billed in 4-week blocks. If you vacate early, refunds are calculated per full week remaining. And with any removal, the first week of storage is FREE.

What fits in a 250 cubic foot container?

A single container holds roughly 30 to 40 standard moving boxes, or the contents of one large room without the furniture. With furniture, think of it this way:

  • 1-bed flat: 1 to 2 containers (living room set, bedroom furniture, kitchen boxes, personal items)
  • 2-bed house: 2 to 4 containers (full home contents including white goods and a sofa suite)
  • 3-bed house: 4 to 6 containers (the contents of a family home, including dining furniture, multiple beds, and a full kitchen)
  • A few rooms’ worth: 1 container covers the contents of a large reception room plus hallway clutter, or two bedrooms without beds
  • Just boxes and personal items: half a container to 1, depending on how much you are storing

Each container is 250 cubic feet. That is about 7 cubic metres. A standard three-seater sofa fits with room to stack boxes around it. Wardrobes and large bookcases stay intact inside the container. We do not expect you to take your furniture apart.
