2-4 weeks before:

• [ ] Confirm removal booking (pay deposit)
• [ ] Transfer/set up utilities at new address
• [ ] Inform employer and update HR records
• [ ] Pack spare rooms, loft, garage
• [ ] Arrange school transfers
• [ ] Set up Royal Mail redirection

1-2 weeks before:

• [ ] Notify bank, insurers, doctor, council
• [ ] Book tip slot or bulky waste collection
• [ ] Confirm moving day details with removal crew
• [ ] Pack dining room and hallway
• [ ] Label all boxes with new room names
• [ ] Run down the freezer
• [ ] Arrange care for children and pets on moving day

2-3 days before:

• [ ] Defrost freezer
• [ ] Prepare moving day essentials box
• [ ] Take meter reading photos
• [ ] Disconnect washing machine and dishwasher
• [ ] Set aside valuables to transport yourself

Moving day:
