When your moving day is just around the corner, you might be worrying on how to act when the movers arrive, what are the steps to take on the day to assure that the job goes smoothly. Worry not! Just before the movers arrive:
- Clear any obstructions to your main entrance and all the rooms. If you are moving during the winter, make sure to remove snow and spread some salt on the path to your property.
- Keep the parking vouchers ready and take away your car for the removal van to park.
- Leave a hoover unpacked.
- Keep your mobile phones, chargers, and important document with you.
- Leave a kettle and some tea and coffee. Your movers will be grateful for that
When the movers arrive:
- Conduct a proper tour of your property covering each room to explain in detail what items are to be moved and what items are to stay.
- Be present all the time to answer their questions.
- Occupy your kids and keep away your pets, so they do not get in the way of the movers.
