Most companies quote packing and removal as two separate jobs and leave you to add them up. Here is the honest version in one table. The removal column matches our house removals pricing for a standard move within Greater London, and the packing column matches our published packing rates. Add them together and you have the real cost of a full-service move.

The full-service column is the two lower bounds added together, all including VAT, and it is confirmed after a survey. Packing cost depends on how much you own and how much of it is fragile: a cluttered 2-bed costs more to pack than a minimalist 4-bed. The removal side covers loading, transport, unloading, basic dismantling and reassembly, floor protection in both properties, and Goods in Transit insurance up to £25,000. What is included

Every full-service job, whatever the size of your home, comes with the same standard:

  • All materials. Double-walled boxes in several sizes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape, wardrobe cartons, mattress covers, and sofa covers. We bring enough for the job, so there is no last-minute trip to a shop.
  • Proper furniture protection. Every piece is blanket-wrapped and strapped for the journey. Floors in both properties get covered before anything moves.
  • Wardrobe cartons. Hanging clothes travel on their hangers inside tall cartons and go straight back on the rail at the new house. No bin bags, no ironing pile.
  • Labelling. Every box is marked with its destination room and contents, so you are not opening thirty boxes to find the kettle.
  • Basic dismantling and reassembly. Beds, wardrobes, and tables come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one.
  • A dedicated foreman. One person who knows the plan, directs the crew, and is your point of contact on both days.

The crew scales with the job: two movers for a 1-bed flat, four to five for a 3-bed house, six to eight for a 5-bed. Unpacking at the other end is an optional add-on: boxes placed in the right rooms, unpacked, and all the materials taken away. How packing and moving works

Step 1. Free survey
Call 0207 118 7778 or fill in the form. A phone call is enough for a 1-bed flat. For most homes we do a free video survey, about 20 minutes, where one of our team walks through the property with you. Large or complex moves get an in-person visit. This is how we size the crew, the materials, and the time, so the price you get is the price you pay.
Step 2. Your quote
You get a written quote within 12 to 36 hours, valid for 28 days. Fixed price or hourly, your choice. It covers both the packing day and the moving day in one document, so there is nothing to reconcile between two companies.
Step 3. Packing day
The crew arrives with every material needed and works through the house room by room. Fragile items are wrapped individually, artwork is cornered and flat-packed, wardrobes are transferred to cartons. Most full-house packs are finished in a single day. Larger homes may take two. You do not need to lift anything.
Step 4. Moving day
Everything is boxed, labelled, and ready to load, which makes the move itself faster. The same crew loads, transports, unloads, and reassembles your furniture. If you have added unpacking, boxes end up in the right rooms and the materials leave with us.

In materials alone, packing a 3-bed house yourself costs £150 to £300, before you add the value of three to five days of your time and the risk of replacing anything that breaks in transit.
